Asheville artists Erika Busse and Matthew Decker have partnered to create Star Holler, a boutique screen printing and design studio. Our imagination and talents are limitless and we love to bring beauty and connectedness through art into the world. With over 20 years of art experience including design, painting, illustrations, screen printing and more, both Erika and Matthew bring the expertise to their clients. All work is designed by Erika and Matthew, no AI is required with their talent and imaginations! 

Erika and Matthew have risen above many challenges in the creation of their art business and Star Holler. Starting their Star Holler partnership in early 2020, they were able to successfully navigate the challenges of the COVID pandemic. With a print shop located in the River Art’s District for five years, they were victims of Hurricane Helene in 2024. Not to be defeated by a challenge, they worked in temporary locations with a vision of a beautiful new studio that they would own located outside of the flood zne. This vision resulted in The Art Barn.

Finding property with a little land, we decided we wanted to work where we live – thus creating The Art Barn. This space offers a location for us to imagine, create, design and create our art work. After a year of planning and construction, The Art Barn officially opened in May 2026. Star Holler is located in Candler, North Caroline, just 20 minutes from Asheville.
